PENTA P&B moved into the Rail sector as the programme of Electrification gathered pace with the Network Rail (NR) teams and their contractors facing the same dangers and challenges as those that work in the Electrical Supply Industry. Rail electrification provides faster and more reliable train journeys compared to those of diesel trains. With a significant reduction in pollution in our stations, towns and countryside, the need for consistent power supply and distribution places considerable pressure on the teams tasked to maintain the service.

PENTA P&B now has many decades of experience in this area and has worked closely with the NR technical and safety teams to develop bespoke temporary earthing solutions, pole kits and adaptors and voltage detectors. All designed to keep the people safe who have to work on Rail track or Overhead Line network and to keep the trains running. Today, PENTA P&B have a broad range of products that carry the PADS Approval, and we continue to work with NR to provide innovation and product development to meet any new challenges as they arise.
